Easter on the NW Coast
It has been a long time since I've enjoyed an Easter with green grass, new sprung flowers and bud filled trees. But this year was exactly that flowers of every color, warm weather, delicious food and great company. I spent this Easter in Seattle with my cousin's the Walkers, what a way to be welcomed. We enjoyed a feast of Cornish Hens, roasted asparagus, broccoli cheese rice, fresh strawberry and mint pistachio pie. I think the best part was getting to decorate easter eggs and waking up to an easter basket filled with jelly beans and gourmet chocolate! Who doesn't love Jelly beans.
A little MN in Seattle

As I was just starting to really enjoy the wonderful weather of Seattle, running everyday in the crisp air and not having to scrape my car windows in the morning, or even bundle up... it snows. Although I have to say snow in Seattle has much more grace and style then that of MN. The huge flakes float effortlessly from the sky and fall softly clinging to every branch and pedal knowing that if it touches the ground it will come to its end.

The Girls

As the oldest three of the McKeown family they sure are forging their own paths.
Nicole, 24 looking to start her career in Seattle, Wa. Graduating from the Minneapolis College or Art and Design in Advertising, Account Planning, Nicole has worked on ad campaigns for; Explore Minnesota Tourism, Medtronic Medical, Kurt Kinetic bike trainers, Chicago's Millennium park, ClearWay Minnesota's anti-smoking commercials and many more.
Nicole is obsessed with traveling, studying culture and recently returned from a month backpacking through China.
Shannon, 18 will be starting a new chapter in her life as well. This Spring Shannon will graduate from Jefferson High school, she will be attending the University of Montana, Missoula in the Fall. She plans on pursuing a degree in Journalism and a minor in Art. (the right brained creative gene must have been dominate with these girls)She will also be taking gun safety this summer since Montana offers individual gun lockers with all their dorm rooms, she figures she can bring the 12gage with her!! Who knew!!
Kelly, 15 is as well on a new exciting path, learning to drive! Exciting, yes! Scary, well lets just say that's not the maxed out base on the stereo you hear as she drives by, its the passenger (Mom, Dad, or oldest sister) stomping their foot on the imaginary break as hard as they can!!
She's doing great, & is learning fast. She hopes to transfer high schools next fall to the School of Environmental Sciences (the Zoo high school): I think we have a Peace Core candidate on our hands!!
